9th Annual Excelerator show

So, I just came across this show, yes it is a little far Tinh and I went before and it was a decent show. Plus its kinda smaller so we have a good chance of maybe winning something because Menace will not be there. Don't know if anyone would be down, but here are the details:

Location: Silverwood theme park in Idaho

When: July 31, 2010

When we went before, you get free admission into the theme park so you guys could take a romantic ride on one of the roller coasters or win her a big teddy bear! Or even better win me one!!! hahhahaa

ahh i talked to Tinh last night about this. I was planning a trip to silverwood this summer anyways, two birds with one stone! im down

Chris - its probably a couple hours I don't recall, maybe Tinh will chime in and say.

It's about a 5-6hr drive depending on how much breaks we take lol. I would recommend that this should be a 2 day thing. 1st day to drive there and stay in a hotel then 2nd is show and then we drive home. It would be a first great long distance trip for members to hangout, chill, bond, and possibly get drunk and wasted haha

if you guys do a 2 day where you drive down on the 31st I might be able to go I gotta put in vaction days so I can get a 3 day weekend if not I won't be able to go the 31st is on a sat.

Im DEFFINITLEY down. I haven't been to Silverwood since I was like 10. That my eastern WA childhood. And depending how many people are going, I could hit up my cousins or friends in Spokane and see if we could crash there vs. renting a hotel. Spokanes about 30 from Cour de lane (sp?)

If theres alot of people we'll probably just need to get and split rooms. But it'd be nice if we could get some early input on this so I can go to my friends over there with pretty accurate head count

Early input will be much appreciated! Let's really try and plan this out so people can request days off work and such.

So anything? What time is this show starting. Would we head over friday or saturday? Is the free admission just for that day? Or can you use it whenever? Im trying to spend a good amount of time in the park cause I havent been in so long. Specially the water rides on the hot day it will be

If we left on saturday, we'd have to leave hella early, and wash the cars again once we got over there and we dont know what to expect as far as parking and time/pass limits go.

I actually have vacation july 26-30 but I told them I was going to work through it to get double paychecks...but since already scheduled off, I can take that friday off and 99% sure Ill be able to get friday off of my 2nd job.

I also have the monday/tuesday/wednesday (Aug. 2/3/4) scheduled off for vacation at my first job and could probably get monday off at my 2nd

Well I hope to see some sort of flyer as the date gets closer. But when Tinh and I went we stayed the night before and woke up the next morning to wash our cars and all then headed to show. Free admission is for that day only I believe, we cleaned up our cars and then locked em up then went to the park for a bit. Anyone down to stop at Homestead BBQ in Cle Elum. About 1.5 hr from the Seattle area. Never been there before but I saw it when I stopped for breakfast while heading to Yakima. We pass right by it on I90. Like most BBQ places, it's probably 10-15$/plate or 7-10$/sandwich. All the reviews I read about it said it was good. Plus I love BBQ

I'm game we shall see what others say, glad it wont break the bank!

Oh, and my mom and stepdad can get us a really cheap, good room. They do alot of traveling and have all these traveling discount books and package things....last time they went on vac., they got a 2 room, 2 story townhouse for 230/week. Now Obviously we'll only be there a night or 2 but the point is, Im gonna talk to her and see what the program they're in will get us as far as hotels go.

I have been informed by Chris that this show has been moved, I looked at the website and it has been moved to August.
